10 Things The Walking Dead Wishes It Could’ve Done Differently

3. Andrea's Confused Governor Romance

As previously mentioned, Season 3 was a bit of a mess. There were great ideas and threads in there that could have become some of the best if executed well, but most were left dangling or went nowhere at all.

Case in point, the relationship between Andrea and The Governor. Though she was one of the best characters in the comics, show Andrea was a bit of a bullish moron, and that only got worse in Season 3. After being separated in the previous year, she ended up alone in Woodbury and courting the new villain, in a plotline that barely made any sense.

Most fans assumed that she'd be the one to take him down from the inside once she realised what he was capable of, but in the end she was just killed off without fanfare.

Her demise was originally supposed to be even more careless and pointless, until new showrunner Scott Gimple stepped in and rewrote her death at the last moment, to give the character as much closure as possible within the story he'd been given.
