10. Everything About Tyrese

When it comes to comic characters who were done dirty on the show, it doesn't get much worse than Tyrese. In the books, he's Rick's right-hand man, and his tragic death is one of the first major losses that the leader suffers. In the show however, that role had been given to Daryl, and Tyrese's introduction was pushed to Season 3 where he resembled little of his original character.

After wasting him for a bunch of episodes, they eventually tried to get his characterisation back on track, but by then it was too late. He was nothing like his source material counterpart, and the new storyline - about him being unable to commit to the violence required to survive dangers in this world - came across as forced and kinda dumb.

His death episode was surprisingly moving, but him being written out felt more like an admission of defeat from the writers than an essential narrative development.
