10 Things We Learned From The Star Trek Lower Decks Trailer

Star Trek Lower Decks Argo
CBS

Thanks to this handy schematic shown in the trailer, we can see that the shuttlebay aboard the Cerritos exists, as standard, at the back of the ship. We can see three shuttles from the early seasons of Voyager and also above those - The Argo!

The Argo was introduced in Star Trek: Nemesis, purely it would seem so that Picard can have a bit of fun driving like a lunatic around the planet where they find B4. While that movie had its ups and downs (come back for a future list!).

The Argo was certainly one of the more enjoyable elements to Nemesis, allowing the film to break away from what had, for better or worse, become slightly formulaic Trek at that stage. Cars very rarely get a look in in Star Trek, so to see Picard operating the Argo's dune-buggy was really a bit of fun.

If the trailer is anything to go by, it is hardly a stretch of the imagination to see the ensigns from Lower Decks commandeering one of these for one of their missions. A bit like Checkov's gun - don't include it if you don't intend to use it!
