10 Things We Learned From The Star Trek Voyager Cast Reunion

It is somewhat cruel that the man that each of the cast agreed was simply the nicest man on set also had to endure the worst make-up experience during his tenure.

The full Talaxian gear meant that Phillips had to endure an arduous process each day, to the point where he nearly preferred to sleep in the make up so that he wouldn't have to go through it the following day.

However, he was not one to complain. Jeri Ryan was the first to say that in her four years on the show, she never heard him complain once, joking that she felt she was complaining almost too much about her costume, feeling guilty when she saw the pain that he was going through.

Mulgrew confirmed this, adding that from the beginning, he had been one of the most professional and positive people on the set.

Neelix was met with some mixed receptions during his tenure, which seems like a further insult to the poor man. Phillips had appeared in the Next Generation, again under heavy make-up, playing a Ferengi. Phillips remains in good spirits about the show though and even went so far as to publish a cookbook in character!
