10 Things We Need In Stranger Things 3

3. Hopper & Joyce

When audiences were first introduced to Hopper and Joyce, neither of them were exactly living their best life. Hopper was a bum of a chief who was still deeply emotionally distraught over the death of his daughter and Joyce was a frazzled mom who was losing her mind over Will's disappearance.

Season two saw both of them growing and evolving in positive ways, with Hopper's paternal relationship with Eleven and Joyce's romantic relationship with Bob. And though Bob heroically gave his life to save the others in season two, Hopper and Joyce both seemed to have largely found peace at the end of season two.

Throughout all of this, the relationship between Hopper and Joyce has remained one of the most valuable parts of the show. Their history makes for great tension in the first season, which segues into genuine chemistry in the second season as Hopper helps Joyce look after Will.

Seeing this relationship develop further is key to season three. Not necessarily in a romantic way, but more like a support group. They are old lovers who continue to look out for each other and have only grown closer throughout everything. Season three could use even more of them together, as they both attempt to raise their own respective 'special' teenager.
