10 Things We Want To See In The Fallout TV Series

5. The NCR

The New California Republic (NCR) views itself as the honest heir of old world values like law, democracy, and liberty. It has come to echo pre-war civilisation in all of its bad ways as well as its good ones, pressing ahead with expansionist policies and colonising 'uncivilised' lands to bring them to heel. However, it is true that the NCR is often one of the only things protecting people from much bigger threats elsewhere in the wasteland.

The NCR's capitalist drives for individual wealth brings them into the picture in Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. In both games they come up against forces and powers with a dramatically different ideology to their own, with a host of wins and losses.

The NCR was founded in 2189, so as long as the series is set after this date then it seems likely the NCR will feature given that Vault 33 and Los Angeles fall firmly into their territory. The NCR also waged a long war against the Brotherhood of Steel up until at least 2281, meaning that the new series could be about to drop us right into the middle of that intense, drawn out fight for supremacy.
