10 Things We Want To See In The New Batman Animated Series

BTAS was fantastic because in some instances, the narrative lent itself to the villains causing Batman to often take a back seat.

With classic episodes such as The Man who Killed Batman (1993), Almost Got ' Im (1992) and Joker's Favour (1992) these episodes are full of tragedy and unfairness where you would understand the desire for revenge. Not only does it line-up to show the villains interacting with everyday civilians of Gotham, but the opportunity to show the dynamic between villains. Which is always fun. It adds a level of depth to the animated series universe with rich characters such as Charlie Collins and gives a glimpse into a Gotham without Batman. It's these characters that bring colour to a very robotic and unpleasant place. Gotham is not a pleasant place to live and it's when these villains or characters show up things get interesting and you have sympathise with them.

These episodes let the imagination run wild with the question of 'What If...' for the viewer and leaves us terrified with the idea that an average Jo can get entangled with some of Batman's biggest foes. Here's hoping they continue this tradition.
