10 Things We Want To See On The X-Files: Albuquerque
8. Chuck Burke
This one is probably a little out of left field. The again, it's The X-Files, so what isn't?
Chuck Burke (Dr. Charles Burke, properly) was one of the few recurring X-Files characters outside of the key players (Mulder, Scully, Skinner, the Lone Gunman), who was critically underused. Burke was a digital imaging specialist with an eye for the supernatural and downright trippy. He first appeared in the show's second season, and turned up in five more outings between then and season eight in 2001.
Playing back the words of Christ from shards of pottery, developing photos of a decapitated human body that still show an attached head, examining alien artifacts — he was the sort of open-minded science guy that the show was, for the most part, missing. Probably because skeptic Scully had the science aspect of things covered most of the time.
The X-Files: Albuquerque could easily borrow the character and give him a more prominent role. Think Q in James Bond. Not a main player, but as a supporting character that ties into the original series, he'd be quite the gold mine. Plus, actor Bill Dow portrayed him with just enough of a sense of humor that he'd fit right in with the animated show's comedic leanings.
