Billie has firmly established herself as one of Britain's most acclaimed actresses of the stage and small screen but she has yet to conquer the coveted realms of Hollywood. She's been trying to, though, with bit parts in such ill-fated cinematic escapades as the indie thriller Spirit Trap (in which five unsuspecting students moved into a dilapidated mansion and... well, you can probably imagine what happened next, can't you?) and Things To Do Before You're 30, which would've probably gone completely ignored had its release not coincided with Billie's Doctor Who debut in 2005. One of her most prominent big screen roles to date, though, was as Angel, Orlando Bloom's girlfriend, in the 2004 mockumentary comedy The Calcium Kid. Their on screen chemistry just wasn't sizzling enough to secure success at the box office, though, as the film received generally negative reviews and a somewhat undesirable - and not to mention extremely rare - overall rating of 0% (ouch!). You win some, you lose some. Luckily for Billie, though, a certain Time Lord was just around the corner. The rest, as they say, is history.
