10 Things You Learn Re-Watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine
2. Amy And Jake Are So Good For Each Other
It almost goes without saying giving the earlier entry on how much Jake grows throughout the show, but a second viewing only serves to highlight just how far he comes, and just who is responsible.
We saw them apart, then we saw them with other people, then – FINALLY - we saw them together.
Not only does Amy make an honest adult of Jake, but Jake manages to calm some of Amy's more frantic traits. They complement one another perfectly, and in a way that only serves to make each of them more lovable.
We see them compromise and begin to build a life together, and as they do so they both become better people, and better police officers.
Given that it's a part of the show that had us all waiting to see, and what a cute couple they make, it's easy to overlook just how perfectly they fit as a couple.
It's cute the first time around, but it's downright heartwarming the second. It's the sort of glow-up that no-one can be upset about.
