10 Things You Learn Rewatching Bob's Burgers

5. Bob Isn't A Great Father

To clarify, this is already a huge overstatement. Bob isn't in the same league as Homer Simpson, Randy Marsh or Peter Griffin for bad parenting. He's loving, sensitive and loves his children no matter what.

But have you ever wondered why the Belcher children are constantly getting into mischief and causing chaos in the restaurant? Because Bob doesn't know how to discipline them. His laid-back, pushover nature has caused the kids to believe they can do whatever they want. Louise makes up rumours about her own father and goes as far as stealing from Bob. Gene and Tina both have selfish tendencies and will often think of themselves before anyone else, not considering the affect their actions have on their parents or their friends.

As a result, they've always managed to get their own way and almost never get into trouble for their wrong doings. Moreover, when Bob does try to punish his kids, he never follows through with it, thus continuing the vicious cycle.
