Ask any fan who's seen it and they'll be sure to tell you that RuPaul's Drag Race is the wildest, funniest, and most heartwarming show on TV. For the uninitiated, RuPaul Charles is the world's most famous drag queen/singer/entertainer, and each season, he puts a crew of budding superstars through a series of challenges involving acting, singing, fashion, comedy, and more. Week by week, the cast is whittled away, and at the end, the last remaining queen is declared America's next drag superstar. Since its debut in 2009, the show has gained millions of fans and spawned spinoffs such as RuPaul's Drag U and RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars. Clearly, more and more people are learning that no matter where one falls on the gender and sexuality spectra, this is feel-good reality television at its finest - for contestants, judges, and fans. Sure, the competition is intense, but through it, we all bond, and we all learn about loving and respecting each other and ourselves. What if you're already a fan? Then I'm just preaching to the choir - you know about the show's transformative powers. Still, whether you're a hardcore Drag Race addict or just one to be, get ready for a lesson, because here are 10 things you learn watching RuPaul's Drag Race.
