10 Things You Need To Know About The Supergirl TV Show
2. Arrow And Flash People Are On Board
Warner Bros have had a lot of success adapting the world of DC Comics to the small screen...so long as they do it on their CW channel. Otherwise, it tends to get all wrong. Whilst the likes of Arrow and The Flash are doing well enough to warrant another spin-off show (the forthcoming Legends Of Tomorrow), the likes of NBC's Constantine get axed after a season. Hopefully Supergirl will fair better than most despite being on CBS because Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg (creators/producers for Arrow and The Flash) are executive producing, with many of the writers, the composer, costume designer, and comic book maven Geoff Johns all on board with Supergirl as well. That's a pretty great pedigree going in. These guys know how to do superheroes on TV even if Supergirl appears to be committing to the genre slightly less than The Flash and Arrow, with all that police procedural nonsense and it also means a potential crossover with those CW shows (and possibly also Constantine at some point, despite that being off the air...)
