7. Casting Rumors Were Insane
Given that the two leads of True Detective were portrayed by major stars, it was no surprise that people assumed the next season would be equally star-studded. As a result, rumors immediately started spreading of potential casting for the second season. Numerous popular actors were name dropped at some point, some based on actual evidence, others not so much.
