2. 2010 - Stahl's Reckoning
Agent June Stahl of the ATF had been based in Charming for two years with the purpose of building a RICO case against the Sons. Although she had been instrumental in causing a lot of issues within the club, her most heinous act was telling the club that Opie was a rat. This led to the murder of his wife at the hands of another club member. After two years of desperately trying to bring down SAMCRO, she would meet her fate at the hands of the man she hurt the most - Opie Winston. Upon their return to Charming from Ireland, the Sons pay the Russian mafia $2 million in exchange for Jimmy O, who had taken refuge with them. Jax already had a deal in place with Stahl to reduce the pending prison sentences of the club so he tells her where the exchange will take place. When she arrives to collect Jimmy O, she quickly tells the club that Jax sold them out, leading to them calling him a 'dead man.' The ATF arrest the club members present. On her way out of town, Stahl is stopped by Chief Unser who warns her of a potential IRA threat further along the road. Her escorts leave to investigate further and she is soon surrounded by the remaining free members of the club. Opie takes his time reminding her that she was responsible for his wife's death, and kills her in exactly the same way. As they ride off, the Sons pass the transport van carrying their brothers and knock on the side of the van - informing Jax and the rest of the club that it's over. Jax and the rest of the club smile as they begin their 14 month prison sentence - they were all aware of Jax's plans with Stahl from the beginning.
