10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Mr. Robot

4. Bleed For It

Actors are no stranger to on-set injuries. Take Channing Tatum in Foxcatcher or Leonardo DiCaprio in Django Unchained for instance, both of them shed real blood for their respective roles. The same can be said for Rami Malek.

In order to help with the constant use of voice-over, Malek used an earbud in which a production assistant, named Sarah Block, would talk to him. While on occasion she caused him to laugh out loud during a scene, overall it worked out. For the most part that is.

While film a bit toward the end of season one, Malek insisted Block yell in his ear as a way to influence how his face showed emotion at a dramatic moment. When he pulled the device out, he noticed that it was covered in blood. Yikes. Don't fret however, as he saw a doctor afterward and everything was shown to be fine.

Talk about putting blood, sweat, and tears into a role.
