Like all other adult cartoon shows, Bob’s Burgers is surprisingly musical. You really can never tell when the characters are about to break into song but it always catches us off guard (we’re just waiting on the inevitable musical special episode).

The season two premiere - The Belchies - is an imitation of the 1985 film The Goonies, as the kids search for treasure in an abandoned taffy factory, unaware that it is going to be demolished very soon. The episode is not short of spoofing many elements of the 80s adventure movie, including a song parody of The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough playing over the end credits called Taffy Butt.

Cyndi Lauper sang the original Goonies song but for many fans, it went unnoticed that she actually reprised her musical role to sing Taffy Butt.

That’s right, the voice you can hear in this catchy song belongs to 1980s pop legend Cyndi Lauper.
