10 Things You're Guaranteed To See At A Doctor Who Convention

4. Bow Ties and Fezzes

It seems unlikely that the bow tie and fez will ever go out of vogue for Doctor Who fans. The eleventh Doctor's accessories of choice have essentially become the Tom Baker scarf of the 21st century, and that's all well and good. It's just that they're everywhere at conventions. Seriously, it honestly feels like every other person at a Doctor Who convention is rocking a bow tie, a fez, or both. Walk around and survey the crowd, and you'll likely be greeted by a small sea of red fezzes, peppered with long scarves, bow ties, and the occasional decorative vegetable or cat broach. Not that I'm judging, obviously. It's iconic and very easy to throw together. Even without the rest of the Eleventh Doc's costume, it's easy to see what you're going for with a fez on your head and a bow tie round your neck
