10 Times Donald Glover Stole The Show In Community

Everyone knows about the Darkest Timeline episode of the Community. Inarguably the most famous episode of the show's run, it's the definitive example of Community's incredible ambition and conceptual thinking.

Troy and Abed are welcoming their friends to a moving-in party for their brand new apartment. They have ordered pizza and one person has to go downstairs to pay and bring the food up. Since no one wants to go, Jeff devises a scheme where a different person will go depending on the number of a dice roll. This leads into six different universes where a unique member of the study group goes for the food, and shows the differences in their lives, small and huge that occur because of this seemingly minor act of chance.

In the Darkest Timeline, Troy goes downstairs for the pizza and is desperate not to miss anything. He misses a lot. Over the course of his absence, Pierce gets shot in the leg, the living room gets set on fire and one of Troy's phobias, a troll doll is sitting in the midst of the flames. Troy looks at everything and shrieks, "NOOOOO", in one of the best gags of the show.

Glover is flawless and cements the sequence as immaculate chaotic delight. His over the top nature has been utilised frequently in the show’s funniest moments, but the way he breaks apart here is priceless. It’s a moment you remember forever thanks to him.
