6. When He Was Completely Unphased By Homer's Desire To Beat Him Up
During one of Sideshow Bob’s many attempts to kill Bart, Chief Wiggum places traps throughout the Simpsons’ house. On doing so, he makes the mistake of telling Homer that once an intruder’s in his house, “anything you do to him is nice and legal.”
Naturally, Homer immediately calls Flanders inside on hearing this, intending to beat him up. Wiggum sees this and corrects himself, “uh, doesn’t work if you invite him.” Flanders is already on the doorstep with a cheery “Hi-dilly hey,” at this point, when a disappointed Homer simply growls at him “go home!”
Brilliantly oblivious and unintentionally hilarious as ever, Ned simply declares “toodily-do!” and leaves again without missing a beat.
