10 Times The Lucifer Show Referenced The Comics (And 10 Ways It Totally Ignored Them)
9. Lucifer's Anatomy (Ignores The Comics)
A staggering amount of the show's scenes consist of Lucifer standing naked in front of someone else and/or talking about his body, from his claim that "few things are bigger than [himself]," to his assertion that "the berries are ripe and ready to be harvested," to his endless sexual innuendos, but in the comics, he spends quite a bit of time naked, and clearly has no sex organs whatsoever.
Lucifer's Ken doll anatomy is even mentioned by another fallen angel, at one point in the comics, who's curious about how Lucifer goes about having sex. The response is whispered in her ear, and not revealed to the reader, but interestingly leaves the curious cherub wide-eyed and silent.
Any show having as many references to its lead character's naked body as this one does would be noteworthy, but knowing the source material makes it particularly odd to hear Lucifer saying "they're quite average, really," to Chloe very-platonically telling him "You've got some balls on you, pal."
