10 Times The Lucifer Show Referenced The Comics (And 10 Ways It Totally Ignored Them)

10. Mike Carey (Easter Egg)

Lucifer Comics TV
DC Comics

In the episode #TeamLucifer, which revolves around a Satanic cult, one Satanist is framed for the ritual murder of another, but he's later found dead himself. The framed cultist is commonly known as Corazon, but his legal name turns out to be Mike Carey, which is the real life name of the writer of the original Lucifer series.

The character Corazon has very little impact on the plot, and his real name - Mike Carey - has none, but this easter egg is a simple way of paying homage to the writer responsible for the 75-issue saga (plus the Nirvana special and Sandman Presents miniseries) that inspired the Fox series, while testing whether the audience is paying attention.
