10 Times The Walking Dead Was The Dumbest Show On TV

3. The Hyundai Tuscon Product Placement

Most modern TV audiences accept product placement as a necessary evil these days, but boy did The Walking Dead rub it in our faces for nearly three seasons. The Hyundai Tuscon showed up during Season 2 and allowed the group to make runs while avoiding any inevitable zombie hordes - well sort of at least, on several occasions they actually drove directly into them! Somehow the car survived every trip unscathed, coming out relatively pristine no matter what the situation was that it had to negotiate. Even more dumb was the fact that the car model used in the show was actually manufactured in 2013. That's some three years after the event of an apocalyptic even which brought modern society to its knees! People will overlook product placement when it appears in their favourite show, so long as it isn't too distracting and the plot isn't adapted specifically for that product to appear. In other words it has to blend in seamlessly with the story and the overall feel of the show. Unfortunately that didn't quite work out here, and what's more, the car couldn't even have existed in the Walking Dead universe unless some sort of worm-hole-time-leap event occurred.
