10 Times The Walking Dead Went Too Far
7. Noah's Death
When Beth was killed and all the storytelling potential involving her was lost, fans could take some solace in the fact that the hospital storyline allowed Noah to join the group. Learning that his family had died long ago, Noah became a key part of the group when they arrived in Alexandria. But all this development was thrown out the window in episode fourteen of season five.
Noah has one of the goriest deaths on the show, literally being torn apart by walkers in front of Glenn. But why? Noah only featured in ten episodes before his demise but seemed like such a promising character. This marked the start of a consistent issue with the show, where the writers were too scared to kill off the main characters such as Daryl, Carol or Glenn in fear of fan retaliation, so instead began introducing characters just to kill them off in later episodes.
The problem was fans didn't really have enough time to grow attached to Noah. He was an incredibly unique character, with a busted leg and a go lucky attitude, so it's really quite disappointing that the writers decided to kill him off so early on.
