6. Fans Want The Smoak - Arrow

In the world of DC Comics, the main squeeze of Robin Hood wannabe The Green Arrow is Black Canary. This was initially the direction taken on the show Arrow, a live-action adaptation of the hero, but the writers weren’t counting on one character getting very popular.

Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) was initially employed by Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as his tech expert, joining his crime-fighting team and being one of the few people privy to his secret life. Felicity’s good heart and bumbling awkwardness quickly endured her to the fans, to the point where there were calls to put her and Oliver together.

And then it actually happened.

All of the qualities that made Felicity so popular disappeared as soon as she entered a relationship with Oliver. She went from a well-rounded, smart individual to a typical damsel-in-distress, constantly crying on screen and getting used as bait by the baddies.

She absolutely deserved better treatment than this.
