2. Fear Factor

One of the most gross-out shows to have ever been on public television, Fear Factor is the basis of nightmares across the country. Taking groups of contestants and placing them in the sights of our countrys biggest fears, the show forces its players to decide between torture and money. Made famous for its ability to convince people to eat hissing cockroaches, the show is one terrifying ordeal after another, rating the contestants performances against each other until one victor is awarded the grand prize. The show itself is a parade of people who care more about money than consequence. It takes a lot more than courage to lay in a tank of hairy arachnids for as long as you think your enemies will last. It is very hard to watch people go through the tasks when you would not, no matter what the price. The showcase of greed is entertaining enough. Sometimes watching others do things out of deadly sin is interesting to us because it makes us feel better about ourselves and our own morality. We know contestants are in no real danger, but fear and panic can be dangerous enough to prevent audiences from venturing out to the next Fear Factor auditions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EZ_vI7cWAI
