10 TV Characters We Have A Massive Crush On (But Really Shouldn't)

1. Tate Langdon - American Horror Story: Murder House

Tate is a tricky one. He is an archetypal Byronic hero in that he is emotionally conflicted, destructive, and rebellious, yet mysterious, intelligent, and oddly attractive. Tate often demonstrates complete gentleness when he was with Violet, and appears to be watching over the Harmon family like a guardian angel. He regularly protects them (although, admittedly, in frighteningly violent ways). For example, in the episode "Home Invasion" - concerning a home invasion, if you weren't sure - he disables the attackers with ease and ensures nobody who lives in the house is hurt. As ever, despite his loyalty and cute little face, Tate's drawbacks are overwhelming. As it turns out, he committed a mass shooting at his school and killed 15 of his fellow students. Not only this, but on that day he himself was killed, so when we meet him he is a ghost. He conceals this from Violet so that he can pursue a relationship with her, although that's not all he conceals. Tate has a tendency to dress up in a full-body latex BDSM suit to pursue various, shall we say, "activities". In the suit he beats Chad and Patrick to death, sodomising Patrick with a poker as he dies, as well as raping and impregnating Violet's mother. Adorable and unassuming as he may be, Tate is without a doubt a monster. Disagree with any of these? Are there any glaring omissions? Let me know in the comments!

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
