10 TV Characters Who Were Perfectly Cast (The Second Time)
1. Daario Naharis - Game Of Thrones
When it comes to switching out characters in the midst of an epic tale, there's arguably never been a more frequent offender than HBO's sprawling tale of battling houses, Game of Thrones.
Everyone from fledgling Lannisters to frosty White Walker overlords experienced an on-screen change-up over the course of the show's gripping eight seasons. But perhaps the most notable and effective character transfer came in the form of a particular lover of a Mother of Dragons.
After making a fairly decent impression as the witty and merciless sellsword Daario Neaharis in Season Three, Ed Skrein was suddenly cut loose, with the actor stating his plans to stay aboard the mega show were thwarted by "politics". In his place, though, came the increasingly more compelling Michiel Huisman, delivering one liners and frequently producing unquestionable fire in his many sexually charged exchanges with Daenerys Targaryen from Season Four onwards.
As you've likely spotted over the course of this list, recasting tends to not be part of the plan in most cases, but here the replacement stud more than did the badass business second time around.
