7. Steve Harrington - Stranger Things
Not only is Stranger Things one of the very best TV shows of the past decade, but the Netflix offering is also one of the most emotional series in recent memory.
While so much of Stranger Things relies on fist-pumping nostalgic beats and the heartwarming youngsters at the centre of the show, the series is never far away from completely pulling the rug out from under its audience and killing off a fan favourite character. And up next on the chopping block for Stranger Things could well be Joe Keery's Steve Harrington.
In Steve, fans have been given one of the most enjoying character arcs of Stranger Things' three seasons, with this one-time bad boy becoming a demon-battling brute. But with David Harbour's Hopper now sadly out of the way, Steve is likely the early favourite to be collateral damage when Stranger Things' fourth season arrives.
Right now, it seems unlikely that Stranger Things would realistically kill off any of its young group of heroes - and an honourable death for Steve would be a fitting end to the character's redemption tale that's been quietly bubbling away across the previous three seasons.
