10 TV Characters Who Will Be Killed Off In 2020

6. Lucifer Morningstar - Lucifer

The Walking Dead Michonne Scars
Fox

Trying to be a good guy and the King of Hell is a tough gig - just ask Lucifer Morningstar.

While Lucifer's demise was so nearly forced upon the show after Fox pulled the plug on the series after three seasons, Netflix swooped in to save the Tom Ellis-starrer and give it a fourth year. And now, the on-demand streaming service is priming Lucifer for a fifth season that will bring the show to a close with a further 16 episodes.

It's been a strange ride for Lucifer, for the show has fluctuated between must-see brilliance and must-avoid dullness - particularly during the 26-episode slog of the series' third season. Since landing on Netflix, the show has had a renewed pep in its proverbial step, yet it does feel the right time to fully wind down the antics of the Prince of Darkness.

Given that Tom Ellis' Morningstar is now at a point where he's battling the want to be a genuinely good person with his need to be the head honcho of Hell, it seems as if Lucifer is destined to offer himself up as some sort of divine sacrifice by the time Season 5 draws to a close later this year. Redemption is the order of the day for this Fallen Angel, and expect him to be fully redeemed (and properly dead dead!) before all is said and done.
