7. Curb Your Enthusiasm

Following on from the success of Seinfeld, writer Larry David was ready to stretch his creative muscles whilst acting on the fame he'd attained during the success of his last show. The results? Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which David plays an hilariously fictionalised version of himself forced to confront the complexities of everyday life.

As of this writing, the show is gearing up for its eleventh season, and though a twelfth season hasn't been greenlit just yet, it seems likely it still has some juice left in the tank.

Notable for its simplistic structure focussing on the day-to-day life of its large personalities (much like Seinfeld), Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on-air since 2000, and it honestly feels like it's just getting funnier and more confident with every new instalment.

Now into his mid-70s, Larry David continues to be the best comedy writer around, and with any luck he'll keep churning out classics for years to come.
