10 TV Lines Actors Refused To Say

Despite barely being in his teens while shooting The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, star Dylan Sprouse spoke up and refused to tell a mean joke about the weight of his screen mother, Kim Rhodes.

According to Rhodes herself in a recent interview on the Back to the Best podcast, the sitcom's writers decided to deal with her real-life pregnancy by having Dylan's Zack make a joke about their mother getting fat.

But Dylan kept omitting the line during rehearsals, and when it came to filming the episode in question in front of a live studio audience, he again missed it out. When an executive producer called cut and told Dylan to speak the line, he insistently replied:

"I would not disrespect any woman that way, let alone this woman. You write something funny, and I’ll say it."

And like that, the line was cut, and the show avoided making fun of a woman for daring to - gasp - get pregnant during production of a TV series.
