10 TV Shows That Would Have Been Better Off As Anthologies
5. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
I'm a massive Star Wars fan, and I'll admit to being excited to see the series expanding to television at first. And yet, it's frustrating to see the series so focused on a story to which we already know the conclusion: the relationship between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. This is especially true since there is so much Expanded Universe material to mine for new stories and characters already Of course, it's easy to understand why the network and showrunners stuck with their tried-and-true characters, especially in a series aimed at a younger audience - but that doesn't mean it isn't a missed opportunity in some ways. Imagine a Star Wars anthology series set during the Clone Wars, with each installment focusing on a different troop of clone soldiers or Jedi Knight(s). The Star Wars universe is vast, and not exploring the numerous possibilities of that universe is disappointing.
