1. Sherlock

A modern-day adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's classic detective stories, Sherlock made Benedict Cumberbatch one of the biggest names in British TV.

Well, he already had one of the biggest names in TV - 19 letters - but you know what we mean.

Despite dipping in quality towards the end of its run, there's still a lot of goodwill towards this show. The clever plotting, feature-length episodes, and strong cast of characters made it unmissable at its prime. That, and everyone wanted to see Sherlock make out with Watson.

As luck may have it, we might get our wish sooner rather than later.

Rumours of a fifth season of the show have been flying around from the moment the fourth season ended. Creator Steven Moffat said that he and Mark Gatiss had already plotted it out, whilst Martin Freeman has stated that "the door is never shut" on a return to the show.

Recently, Moffat said that he'd write Season 5 of the show "tomorrow" if Cumberbatch and Freeman were up for it.

He practically begged them to say yes, so maybe 221B Baker Street's most famous residents will be gracing our screens again before too long.
