10 TV Shows From The '90s That Totally Overused The Word "Totally"
8. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures
Original Runs: 1990 - 1991 (animated version), 1992 (live action version) There were two television shows in the 1990s that were based on the Bill And Ted movies in which in which two music-loving slackers (and acclaimed members of the Dude Pantheon) travel through time. You may remember Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter totally overusing the word "totally" (as well as words like "dude" and "excellent") in said movies - and the two television series were no different. The bumbling pair of utter morons - who somehow ended up surviving dangerous situations and saving the day on a regular basis, despite Inspector Gadget-beating levels of incompetence - used the word more than any other human beings in history, but everyone loved them anyway. Like, Totally Examples: From the live action version: Mr. Logan: Here, Keilson said if I brought these in by noon, the engraver could have them ready by tonight's policemen's banquet. Ted: But Dad, I don't understand, you waited all year for this banquet. Totally scored the policemen of the year award. From the animated version: Bill: Ted, I am totally downcast. We're still no closer to getting that coin and passing Latin. Ted: Yes Bill, but we are alive.
