10 TV Shows From The '90s That Totally Overused The Word "Totally"

9. South Park

Original Run: 1997 - Present South Park primarily follows the exploits of four boys - Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny - and their fellow residents in the Colorado town of South Park. Whilst it is an animation, it's far darker than the likes of The Simpsons and when those douchey little kids use the word "totally" it was generally to describe something that would make you cringe or vomit in your own mouth. Cartman, in particular, loves using the word to this day and, while he does use it in the annoying "traditional" sense that '90s D-bags used it so often ("totally awesome", "totally cool" etc), he more commonly uses it to describe how he's totally done/doing something that would make your grandmother faint. Like, Totally Examples:Cartman: I totally f***ed your mom last night. Craig: Nope! *Craig slams the door shut* Linda: YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE TROUBLE YOU'RE IN, MISTER! *Linda punches Butters* Butters: Ah! What did I do? What did I do? Chris: You think you're tough now?! Answer me! *The beating continues and Butters starts crying* Cartman: Aw, man, if I was older, I would totally start jacking off right now.
