7. Boy Meets World
Original Run: 1993 - 2000 This coming of age sitcom followed the life of Cornelius "Cory" Matthews (and his family and friends), as he totally went from being a clueless pre-pubescent schoolboy to a responsible married man in college. Inevitably, given the setting and the age of its core cast of characters, "totally" was said to death. The show spawned a sequel series - Girl Meets World - which debuted in 2014 and is still running now. It follows Cory and Topanga's daughter (with Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles from the original series), Riley. Although Riley is around the same age as her parents were in the Boy Meets World days, she mercifully uses the word "totally" considerably less than they did. Like, Totally Examples:Cory: Listen, I want you to know that I am completely secure in our relationship, and if you want to spend your summer away at camp, I am totally okay with it. Topanga: That is so mature. Cory: 'cause I'm going with ya. Topanga: Cory, it's an all girls camp. Cory: What time's swimming? Topanga: I'm a damsel, but not the distressed kind, one who's totally calm and in complete control of her own destiny.
