9. Abed's Girlfriend - Community
Like Lost, Community liked to set stories up and then drop them -- case in point: Professor Slater, who disappeared from the show after the first season's maddening will-they-won't-they cliffhanger -- but nothing was ever stranger than when Brie Larson landed on campus, started dating Abed... and then vanished.
Though Abed and Rachel's relationship was certainly set up to a major story going forward, after a couple episodes Larson stopped showing up. Odder still, Rachel wasn't even mentioned once she left.
It's clear why Larson, Oscar-winner and MCU star, left the series, but the lack of explanation or tact surrounding her confounding and anticlimactic disappearance still doesn't sit quite right when you re-visit Community's fifth season. Who knows what kind of wacky shenanigans she and Abed could have got up to.
