10 TV Shows That Came Back From Cancellation

6. Baywatch

It may surprise you to learn that one of the most watched TV shows in the world was actually cancelled after its first season. The show did not particularly impress audiences and the viewership was 73rd out of 103 shows on the network. To make matters worse, the original production company went out of business, meaning Baywatch and its cast of scantily clad, unrealistically beautiful life-guards was not picked up for a second season. However, David Hasslehoff is not the kind of man to give up so easily. He and the shows creators and producers revived it for the first-run syndication market. This means it wasn't tied to one network and was shown on different channels at different times in different places. The show continued for another 10 years and introduced us to stars like Yasmine Bleeth, Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson. A film adaptation is currently in development, with Dwayne "The Rock' Johnson reportedly in the lead role.

Created in a petri dish in an underground lab, I was originally designed by scientists to carry out high-profile assassinations for the CIA. Unfortunately, something went wrong and my only skill was writing list-based articles. So now I do that instead.
