Scrubs was pretty original when it first hit our screens. It shunned the traditional sitcom laughter track, was pretty high-paced and was never afraid of slipping into the surreal. It was also very philosophical and emotional for a comedy. It was, however, downright hilarious. The show was met with widespread critical acclaim and was a huge success both in America and internationally. The show ran initially for 7 seasons and although it was never technically cancelled, the 7th season was intended to be its last. In 2007, mid-way through the 7th season, the Writers Guild of America went on strike, which caused NBC to put the show on hiatus. This put some doubt as to the fate of the remaining planned episodes of season 7. During this time, despite protest from both Zach Braff and creator, Bill Lawrence, rumours strangely started circulating that the show would return for an 8th season on a different network. This was later confirmed and it remained there for 2 seasons before being officially cancelled.
Created in a petri dish in an underground lab, I was originally designed by scientists to carry out high-profile assassinations for the CIA. Unfortunately, something went wrong and my only skill was writing list-based articles. So now I do that instead.
