10 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

2. Blindspotting

The Flight Attendant
Starz

A small screen spin-off to the movie of the same name, Blindspotting was a daring sequel that followed single mother Ashley (a revelatory Jasmine Cephas-Jones) who must contend with an existential crisis and single motherhood.

At once socially conscious, urgent and hilarious, Blindspotting benefitted from a brisk pace and sharp dives into hard-hitting drama, such as whenever Cephas-Jones was given the stage to belt out an impassioned piece of slam poetry. It was a bracing, powerful affair, destined to stay the course considering its vast critical approval.

But it wasn't meant to last, cancelled after its second season by Starz during the height on the SAG-AFTRA Strike. Timely and daring, honest and amusing, Blindspotting deserved a full run of things, but it seems Ashley's story will have to end here. What a loss.
