10 TV Shows That REALLY Shouldn't Have Worked

Now on the surface this British sitcom following three friends living together in a flat in Glasgow and their complicated relationships seems like it would always have been a fairly safe bet.

However, after the first series, the show moved from Channel 4 to Netflix. And with this move came a change in the show’s title. In with Lovesick, out with Scrotal Recall. Yes, Scrotal Recall.

Lovesick/ Scrotal Recall is the story of Dylan Witter, who upon being diagnosed with chlamydia must contact all his previous partners. The show largely works in flashbacks and has increasingly focussed on the relationship between Dylan and his friends. Written with real heart and intelligence the show is a fairly down to earth look at growing up and relationships.

But with a name like Scrotal Recall this show should have been destined for an early cancellation. Granted it is an amazing pun, but it was hardly in keeping with the sense of the show. Lovesick has overcome its earlier title, becoming a refreshingly good comedy that is far better than many viewers expected.

Any spin off must surely be called The Sperminator before being duly retitled.
