8. Whites
Whites is a show that few people seem to have even heard of, despite the big British comedy names showcased. Alan Davies (QI, Jonathan Creek), Darren Boyd (Smack the Pony, Green Wing), and Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd) should have made for a golden opportunity for British-stamped awkward hilarity - and it worked. Whites was intelligent yet absurd, with the entire cast (including a wealth of brilliant side characters) working perfectly to create what should have been a prolific British sitcom. Despite airing on BBC2 there seemed to be very little excitement or proper marketing for Whites, quite unlike debuts of similar shows such as Green Wing. Due to budget cuts Whites was cancelled after one season of six episodes to the dismay of many, and a campaign to "Bring Back Whites!" failed. Now the only place to find Whites is in the vaults of Netflix, last shown on the BBC in late 2012.
