Whats this? Another DC television show? Is this because they are currently kicking Marvels backside in the television arena? Maybe its because the Doctor seems more of a natural fit in the DC universe than with Marvel? Discuss. James Gordon, destined to become Commissioner Gordon, is a true everyman hero. He could look the other way, go along with the corruption and build himself a safe and comfortable life... but of course he doesnt. He chooses to make a stand instead, upset the apple cart and put his life on the line in the name of justice. In the darkest moments it looks as if hes alone, but his example draws more to the cause and the tide starts to turn. You think that the Doctor would like James Gordon. This Gothams Bruce Wayne is still a lad, being taught how to stick up himself by a familiar face. Its Sean Pertwee again, but this time as a series regular and playing the coolest Alfred to date. The son of the third Doctor is Batmans butler. Nice. If Gothams good guys cant fill the yawning gap in your life where the Doctor usually resides, then watch it for the most colourful villains on telly. First amongst them is the magnificent Penguin. This chap is still to grow into his full plumage, but he has enough malice, madness and brilliance to bear comparison to the Doctor's arch enemy, the Master. What more could you possibly want?
Older than some and taller than most. Grey of eye and white of beard.
Stephen's book 'Hiding', about a boy who meets a goblin in a local wood, is available to download from the usual places. Think of it as a scavenger hunt.
