Where to start with Riverdale? Original airing as an intriguing if melodramatic and hilariously angsty teen drama, the Archie Comics-inspired series has since become the poster child for terrible TV shows people can't seem to turn away from.

With a sixth season debuting in late-2021, it seems there's no end in the sight for the series, despite its increasingly poor critical reception, nonsensical plotlines, terrible performances and misplaced musical numbers.

Considering the fact the show has lost all meaning, it's even more frustrating that it keeps getting renewed in place of countless Netflix Originals which are far superior to it in every way.

Add to the ridiculous, cringe-inducing insanity of the series' later years the fact that it's inspired some spin-offs - including The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Katy Keene - to turn it into a TV franchise, Riverdale is a show long overdue getting the axe, if only to make way for genuinely good shows deserving of its budget.
