10 TV Shows Which Eerily Predicted The Future

3. The Jetsons - Future Tech

Flat-screen TVs, Skype, robot vacuum cleaners, talking alarm clocks, dog treadmills, none of these existed when The Jetsons debuted in 1962, but now all of them do.

The Hanna-Barbera animation was originally a satire of the 'gee-wiz' attitude about the future, but strangely, so many things about it have come true over the years.

The more time that passes, the more prophetic The Jetsons' writers look, as things like robot servants and pill cameras - both of which featured on the show at some point - have come to pass in recent times.

Don't be surprised if the flying cars and sky-high cities that were an everyday part of George and Jane's lives eventually become a reality down the line.
