10 TV Shows Which Refused To Give Fans What They Wanted

4. Its Own Finale - Star Trek: Enterprise

Star Trek: Enterprise ran for four seasons between 2001 and 2005 and is set a century before the events of the original Star Trek series.

Following the characters of Captain Archer, Commander Tucker, and Sub-commander T'pol, Enterprise was well received by trekkies right up until its finale.

We say "its" finale, but the show actually had a very small presence in the episode. Entitled "These Are the Voyages...", the Enterprise finale is set over two hundred years later than the rest of the season. It centres mostly around the characters seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation, who use a simulation of the crew in Enterprise to help them solve a problem.

Fans of Enterprise were furious that the show had to share its own finale with another Star Trek series. They wanted to see the characters they had fallen in love with, not ones from a show they may not have ever seen.

Taking the decision to weave this episode in with The Next Generation was certainly a bold creative move, but it was not one that the fans wanted.

Sadly, the crew of Star Trek: Enterprise ended up somewhere plenty of men have gone before - the dumpster of bad TV endings.
