10 TV Shows You Thought Got Cancelled (But Weren't)

5. Alice In Borderland

Netflix

Netflix's terrifically entertaining thriller series Alice in Borderland seemingly wrapped up with its second season last year, which brought the story to a concrete(ish) close and, most notably, finished adapting Haro Aso's manga source material.

Though fans speculated about the possibility of a third season regardless, Netflix's absolute silence on the matter for the better part of a year seemingly indicated that the showrunners had told the story they wanted to tell, which had now been concluded.

But back in September, the streamer unexpectedly revealed that a third season is indeed in the works.

Though the show certainly came to an organic stopping point with season two, it proved so compulsively watchable that many fans will be doubtless thrilled for a third go-around, whatever it actually ends up being.

Some have speculated that season three could adapt the manga's sequel series, Alice in Borderland: Retry, though given its short length, it'll certainly need some serious fleshing out.
