10 TV Universes That Make No Sense
1. Once Upon A Time
Who knew fairytales could be so complex? Actually, maybe that's the problem, I don't think they're supposed to be.
Once Upon A Time may have one of the biggest, and most passionate, fanbases in recent history, but not even they can deny how utterly discombobulating the show became.
At first, a simple storyline about a bunch of fairytale characters cursed to live their lives in the "real world" seemed clever and intriguing. The showrunners managed to weave together all these different childhood-favourite stories into one cohesive plot with effortless grace. This crazy intellect didn't last all that long though.
Right around the time "magic beans" were introduced in season two, things got a little bit skewy. The magic beans were a portal back to the fairytale world, which seemed simple enough, especially considering they were said to be the only way back. But the writers couldn't keep their word on that fact.
Shortly after, other universes were introduced, like Neverland and Wonderland, and even an alternate "wish" version of the fairytale world. With these new worlds came other ways of traveling back and fourth, like wishes, storybooks, curses and so much more.
The interweaving of all these different worlds was ludicrous at best and straight-up nonsensical at worst. Don't even get me started on the final episode that used "magic" as a way of fitting all these different universes in the tiny little town of Storybrook.
