10 TV Universes That Make No Sense

7. Pretty Little Liars

Twin Peaks
Warner Bros.

I know I shouldn't be getting this angry over a teen drama show, but this one riles me up like nothing else!

Pretty Little Liars was a popular tv show that, against all odds, managed to wrack up 7 seasons of content during its time on air. But that much action can make you lose track of what's going on, and when you're making a mystery show, that can be a problem.

Episode 13 of season 3 began what is known in the PLL fandom as "The Neverending November". The episode in question takes place on Halloween of the liar's senior year, meaning the next day was November 1st. The rest of the season, the whole of season 4, and the beginning of season 5 up until episode 12 all take place during that month.

If the ridiculousness of that fact hasn't sunk in, let me tell you just a few of the plotlines that happened:

Multiple relationships start and end and then start again, a character dies and then returns from the dead, another character returns from the dead, a character moves across the world to live for a year and then moves back, a character relapsing into addiction, is caught, sent to rehab and returns addiction-free and so. much. more!

This 3 season-long November isn't the only time PLL committed timeline felony though, the show consistently lost track of it's own time restraints over and over again without explanation.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
